With a Welcome Dinner, the World Masters Volleyball Cup began in Loutraki, Greece.

From August 21 to 26, the World Masters Volleyball Cup - Loutraki, Greece, is here to thrill the city of Loutraki with its energy!

Once again, the event is organized by SPORTCAMP, with the support of the Municipality of Loutraki - Perachora - Agioi Theodoroi and the Loutraki Tourism Organization (LTO).

This is a high-caliber event where veteran athletes give their best, creating an atmosphere of joy, reunion, and intense competition to win.

SPORTCAMP and Loutraki’s long-standing tradition of hosting significant sports events highlights the importance placed on volleyball, with many distinguished athletes participating in this series of events.

Men and women over 40 compete for victory in a sports festival that also symbolizes the coexistence of different individuals and nations.

The age categories competing are:

- Men: 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+
- Women: 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+

Yesterday, on August 21, the Welcome Dinner for the participants was held at Horizon restaurant in Loutraki. It was a pleasant reunion for everyone, as they met again after a year, filling the space with joy and excitement.

Representatives from SPORTCAMP welcomed the athletes and their companions, with the Director of the Sports Department, Mr. Michalis Xirogiannis, expressing his great pleasure for this opportunity.

Also present at the event were the Deputy Mayor of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth, Mr. Sakis Papathanasiou, as well as the Deputy Mayor of Administrative and Financial Services, Mr. Tasos Sakellariou. Mr. Sakellariou gave a welcome speech, expressing his happiness that this event remains vibrant over the years. He also shared memories from the year he participated, recalling his experiences as a veteran of the sport.

Afterward, all attendees enjoyed exquisite flavors with a view of the enchanting Loutraki beach.
