Ovidio Running returns for the 2nd consecutive year to Loutraki on November 3, 2024!

Ovidio Running is a unique sporting event held in European countries that promotes sports and culture, dedicated to the Latin poet Publius Ovidius Naso. The event takes place in countries that were significant to the poet's life.

 

COMPETITIVE RACE

The Ovidio Running race is an exciting event for athletes who wish to test their abilities and fitness level. The Ovidio Running will take place on a flat course along the seafront of the town of Loutraki, which stretches for 9.9 kilometers (Beach Park – Waterfalls – Roman Hot Springs – Seafront of Loutraki – City Hall – Beach – School of Engineering – Poseidonia Submersible Bridge and back to beach park). Participants will run a fast and dynamic race, with electronic timing of results, while also having the opportunity to claim unique prizes and demonstrate their racing skills in a highly competitive yet festive atmosphere.

SPORT WALKING

The sport walk at Ovidio Running offers a relaxed and enjoyable way to participate in the event. It takes place on a flat course within the city that stretches for about 2 kilometers, participants can enjoy a leisurely walk enjoying the seafront of Loutraki and getting a breather from the sea. The walk is open to people of all ages and fitness levels, the aim of which is for EVERYONE to be able to participate in this event.

KIDS RUN

The Kids Run at Ovidio Running is designed to inspire and engage young participants in the joy of running. The course, located in the center of the beach front (beach park – waterfalls and back to the beach park), stretches for 1km in length providing a fun and supportive environment where young runners can show their enthusiasm and determination as they run on it.
